Black Sesame Pudding

Ingredients:

1 cup of Superior’s Sweetened Soy Drink

1 cup of Superior’s Black Sesame Soy Drink

3 tbsp Agar Powder (1 ½ tsp for each flavour of pudding)

5 tbsp Warm Water

Black Sesame Seeds (for garnish)

 

Directions:

  1. Starting with the Sweetened Soy Pudding, add 1 cup of Superior’s Sweetened Soy Drink to a saucepan and heat until warm.

  2. In a small cup, combine 1 ½ teaspoons of Agar Powder with the warm water and whisk until dissolved. Slowly add the agar powder and water mixture into the warm soy drink. Stir and remove from heat.

  3. Using small jars or glass cups, arrange the jars or cups on a muffin tin in a tilting direction (this will achieve the diagonal layered look). Slowly pour the soy drink mixture into the slanted jars until the liquid reaches the brim.

  4. Keeping the jars arranged in the muffin tin, refrigerate the jars for 2 hours. After the sweetened soy pudding is set, start to prepare the black sesame soy pudding.

  5. Following the same steps as the sweetened soy pudding, add 1 cup of Superior’s Black Sesame Soy Drink to a saucepan and heat until warm. In a small cup, combine 1 ½ teaspoons of Agar Powder with the warm water and whisk until dissolved.

  6. Slowly add the agar powder and water mixture into the warm Black Sesame Soy Drink. Stir and remove from heat.

  7. Slowly pour the Black Sesame Soy Drink mixture into the jars (at this time, you can set the jars upright since the sweetened soy pudding is set).

  8. Fill the Black Sesame Soy Drink mixture to the brim and refrigerate for an additional 2 hours. Serve cold with a garnish of black sesames.
